Love is Kind

Last I wrote about love being patient. Patience is a way of heading off negative things before they happen. In turn, kindness is the way to make wonderful things happen.

For instance, having breakfast ready for your hubby before he leaves for work. Or helping your child with their homework (without losing your patience).  Kindness can be a compliment, a note in a lunchbox, or even clean underwear.

There are many facets to kindness. How many can you write down? List each of your dearest family members, most importantly your husband and each of your children. Now write down five things you like about each of them. Then go back and write two things that you can do for each of them, this week, that will show them true kindness.

Is it greeting your husband at the door? Having a snack ready for your kids when they get home? Playing a game with your kids? Initiating intimacy with your husband?

I know that this blog is about reconnecting with our husbands but you would be surprised at how our relationship with our children affects not only our mood, but the way our husbands feel about us. Happy children equal a happy mommy and both equal a happy husband.

So this week we’re continuing to practice our patience and learning to practice kindness.  You can do this, one step at a time.
