Domestic Challenge

Well the laundry is clean, if not put away. I’ve had dinner ready for the past two nights and packed a fairly decent lunch also. Tomorrow I’ll have to hit the grocery store for a few things to pack lunches. The plan is to fold all of the laundry and put it away.

I started asking my husband how his day went. That’s a new thing for me because for a while there, after taking care of four kids all day, I really didn’t give a rat’s a** how his day went. But I am making the effort.

Take a moment and ask you partner how his/her day went and really listen when they talk. Look them in the eyes and listen. Don’t talk. Don’t try to solve their problems, just listen. I am amazed at the connection that you feel with another person when you do these few steps.
